Question Wats she worth.

gonna sell her this may. That will make it 1 year. its a summit white 2lt (chrome package, 2.4l, sunroof, pioneer system, leather). After market stuff is eibach pro-kit, tint, ceramic cgs intake. As of today there is around 9200 kilometers. The tricky thing is i bought the car as a write off at an auction. Its good as new and there is no sighns of it being in an accident. the same car stock with double the kilometers goes for 23000 at the dealer. I'd like to make 18k cdn if possible. i dunno

Cars with salvage titles are almost worthless on the used market. You might be lucky to get $4k, tops. Aftermarket items like the lowering springs and the intake do nothing for the value and are even more likely to hurt the value, but being that the car was a salvage they probably won't hurt it.

Hey you're talking 7 months away. That will affect the dollar amount as well. And, you're in Canada...so values are different.

Are you saying your selling privately, or trade, or what?

Good Luck...

HHRCRAFTY - I believe you read it wrong, he stated there where no signs of it being in an accident.

With that statement there, there is more to this story than being let out.

Generally speaking, the trade in value is not good on any late model car. This car? Probably even lower.

Might want to give a little more info on the story on this one.

Cars are not written off and sold at auctions without a good reason.

Anyone who's been around enough used cars can suss out the wrecks pretty easily. A private party may be none the wiser but any dealership appraiser or mechanic will find mask lines, overspray, clamp marks, spot re-welds, and sheetmetal wrinkles with ease. Especially on a car that's been a total write-off.

well i bought 2 hhr's last year one hit in the front and the other in the back. both were in accidents. I had my dads body shop put them both together then paint it all to match, every aspect of the car is the same as stock, my dad has done this well over 100 times with vehicles, and always makes a profit.

That's great. You better be making a profit when you're buying a salvage vehicle, rebuilding it, and selling it to someone who may NOT know what they're buying, because you'll probably need that money to pay off a nice lawsuit when they get decapitated in an accident from an improperly rebuilt front end.

Oh wait. You're in Canada! You have caps on tort remedies!

Anyway, like I said, most private party buyers would never notice but someone in the biz always will.
