What upgrades would you recomend?

Hi everyone, first off I'm new to the forum, second I suck with spelling and grammar.

Ok, so the reason for my post is that I have sold my 05' Durango, and am considering the 2.4L HHR. As of now I'm planning on buying a new 09' model... ok I know what you're thinking... 09'???? the 08's arn't even out yet... well they will be in a year and a half when I return from Iraq. So I'm wondering what proformance mod's are out there for the 2.4L, that dont kill MPG, and add HP... basicly I want this thing to beat my brothers Kia Sportage, but be a reliable daily driver... I'm going to ask that you list prices and expected HP gains, my personal spending limit for this will be $2500.

Honestly, I wouldn't even worry about it yet. there's really not a whole lot out there and two years will make a big difference in what's available.

Right now, other than intake, exhaust and a tune, there's not much you can do without really going all out. And even then, there just isn't much available yet.

BTW, welcome to the forum and thanks for serving our country!

As Mike stated, 2 years is a long time. And who knows, the SS version may be a reality by then.
