Who hasn't brought their SS back to the dealer yet?

I'm seeing all these threads where SS owners have had to bring in their vehicles to the dealer for repairs, fixes, etc. I'm almost feeling guilty that I've had my SS for 6 months and almost 10K miles with no trips to the dealer yet.

The only real problem I've had is the vibration/pulse of the brakes at high speed braking (probably warped rotors). But it hasn't been bad enough to convince me to give up my SS for a couple days at the dealer. I also have the startup brake issue, but as far as I know GM does not have a real fix yet, so why bother bringing it in to the dealer for that?

It would be kind of funny if the first time I bring the SS to the dealer would be for the 290 HP upgrade!

Purchased 7/5/08 now have 6400 miles - not back to dealer yet for any repairs. Check engine did come on with wife when she was out of town but it was gas cap not properly tightened. However, TPMS has been a minor pita and at times has seemed worthy of some dealer involvement but will wait for 1st service which will be coming up soon, as I'm at 26% on the DIC for oil.

I have yet to be in for warranty work. Knock on wood!

I don't count my Body Shop trip as it was not GM's fault I got run off the road.

Brake pulsation at highway speeds is likely due to something called "hot judder". It is not due to warped rotors in the traditional sense. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_brake

All should read about rotor warping in the post by turbinej that was just posted ! This line for sure! [Another cause of warping is when the disc is overheated and the vehicle is stopped. When keeping the brakes applied, the area where the pads contact the disc will cause uneven cooling and lead to warping.]

Almost 15K. Have had no contact with the dealer since I drove it off the lot.
Actually, my wife drove it off the lot. I drove her car home.

10k miles 1yr on the road. no problems at all! Dealer forgot to relearn the tpms after tire rotation so it went back for that but other than a forgetful tire guy none.

8800 trouble free miles with one trip to the dealer for a oil change and tire rotation. I advised the service manager that I was experiencing the cold start brake problem for FYI notes on my account, but I didn't want to address it until a permanent fix was created.

11k miles, and only in for a oil change and tire rotation. I do have the brake issue on the first start-up of the day. I will wait for GM to come up up a final fix before taking in.
