Tail-Lights

I know Its severe, never thought I would attemp it.. But I think I'm comfortable because I've measured and re measured... Like I said there is a smaller opening, I'm going to double check before I cut, but if its only the small lip I think has to be cut it won't be that bad... Just have to take my time and maybe in a few weeks I'll have the first HHR with dual tail-lights!!!!

I hear ya. The hardest part of putting the rear back-up sensors in my HHR was to resist the urge to commit suicide as I was drilling the first hole through the bumper cover.

Do you have any pictures of how much you had to cut?

tali-lights

Hi,

Actually the first side I cut was sort of a trail and error.. So I went a little small figuring I could cut more If needed.. I origianlly cut a 4 1/4 inch hole out, but it was too small.. The second light went in in about 1/4 the time for the first, I cut a 4 3/4 inch hole.. and the light fit the first try....As far as how much I had to cut away I would say abot 5/8 inch circle off of what is there... the hole size is about 4 3/4....
