2010 HHR SS Sunroof Shade Loose

So picked up the SS today and noticed that on hard accel the sunroof shade panel slides open partially. Appears to be really loose in the channel. I'll take a look at it later, but it was kind of annoying.

The usual complaint on the shade is that it's too tight. Never heard this one.

Not as yet. Wifey was in hospital last week. I've been playing nurse this weekend. Will look at it next week.

Yes, that has been my experience in previous GM vehicles. Looking to obtain image of channel as I think something is missing.

Fixed at the moment

Images:

Closed the shade appears to have a slight bow in the center:

As a result, the shade has no resistance in the channel and tends to open 1/3 of the way when accelerating aggressively. The weather was finally mild and I used some adhesive backed cloth from a velcro kit, cut a few strips and installed on the front of both the left and right shade channel to provide resistance. Appears to hold the sunroof closed based upon a static test.

Image of right shade channel with strip installed:

Strip is just to the left of the flash highlight in the shade channel.
