5x110 bolt pattern won't fit!?!?

I have a set of rims and tires from my old car. The rims have a 10-lug pattern (5 are 5x114.3 which is the pattern from my old car, and 5 are 5x100).

Now, the HHR is supposed to have a 5x110 pattern... but I can't get the rims on!!! The 114.3 pattern seems too big... and the 100 pattern seems too small!

http://www.tirefactory.net/FF5.html

These are the rims I have:

19 x 8, with BFG G-Force TA Tires (size 225-35-19)

The specs say the lug pattern is: 5x100 & 5x4.5 (aka 5x114.3)

Any ideas?

The GM 5x110 pattern is not very common. As you already found out, your current wheels are dilled with two common bolt circle diameters, 100mm and 114.3mm, but neither one of those is 110mm. You need to get wheels that have a 110mm bolt circle, or if you really want to use your current wheels, you could have them drilled out and inserted.

I have 22" with a 5x110 bolt pattern with a 114.3x5 offset & it fits well on my hhr. On my pt I have a 5x100 with a 114.3x5 off set as well. both fit well as said, but the pt won't fit the hhr & vice & versa. Hope this helps.

OHHHHHH!!! I thought the HHR bolt pattern was 5 x 100... not 5 x 110.

Ok, that makes sense why they don't fit. DUH!!! I'm such a retard... 110 is not the same as 100. Loser.

FEAR1HHR what size tires are you using with the 22's? My 245-30-20 where pretty close to the top of the strut. Thank you

235/30/ZR22. I would of not known all this either if not for help from people like Jeff at Truckshop or Johnny at Bonspeed. Another thing if you don't already know. If your going to air-bag it or lower it with springs. Make sure what ever wheels your going with has the correct offset for the correct application, so you don't have a strut clearence problem.
