Aftermarket glass

I had to replace my windshield because I had a crack in it. When they were asking me the questions so they could get me the correct window one of the questions they asked me was if it had a glare strip. I said no of course but I said if one were available get it for me. When I got to the glass place and checked it out sure enough it came from the manufacturer with a glare strip. They didn't tint it in after the fact. I was quite happy with it because it looks totally factory. From the outside it looks black and from the inside it looks blue. Another cool thing is that I don't have vinyl covering the little dots around the mirror or air bubbles around them either. It is consistent all the way across.

I have to peel the tape off in a little while but I wanted to take the pic while I still had light. So if you have to replace your glass this is a pretty cool option instead of going with the normal clear glass.

Very cool, Cap-i-tain!

If I have to replace, I'm going that way for sure.

The stock little black dots "aren't cool."

Makes me feel like throwing a rock thru my windshield just to have to replace it with that kind.
Great choice!!

That is a much nicer option than the original glass. Why didn't they have this on the factory glass???

Now, I hope my dings turn into cracks pretty soon!

Nope I could have gotten the factory glass through my dealership today also. I decided to go with the aftermarket glass on my own. The aftermarket looks way better and fits just the same.

Not to mention it's probably better and stronger. I have never had to replace a window before. My factory HHR windshield lasted less than half a year.

Well then you gave yourself a new mod. If your glass did not get cracked, then you be like the rest of us stock rides

Well my HHR isn't quite stock to begin with but I get what you're saying. Not everyone on here has stock rides either.
