which aftermarket lights?
How difficult is it to change out the bulbs for the lamps and the fogs? Don't you need to access them through the wheel well? I just scanned the manual the first day I got the car and thought I saw that. If so is it difficult opening that up? I'd be afraid of breaking a pin..those things are brittle aren't they?
I agree BR..I've looked in a few parts stores and the lamps for the HHR are not common.
btw are out OEM lamps the standard Sylvanias or the X-Brite ones? (Not Silver Star or Cool Blues but the ones that are the next step up from the standard ones)

But when I say OEM I mean....high and low beams, and has the focusing reflector. Not just bulbs, that have 10-12 thousands "K" and ballast. My opinion that's cheating. And when you see those 2 types side by side, the difference is apparent. But, that's just me...

Gotcha covered... https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appearance-modifications-discussions-6/silverstar-replacement-bulbs-going-5042/
Thanks Applenut! Hey let me ask...the screw is pretty self explanatory to take off..those pushpins...how did you get them out? Slip a screwdriver behind there or...how did you remove them?
Also it has been a while since you put the Silverstars in..still going strong? I know guys who put the in their Matrix's where having them burn out in a a short amount of time and were not too happy with them at all...
Thanks

Canadian Tire and Partsource (owned by Canadian Tire) do carry the Silverstars & Silverstar Ultra bulbs, just not the ones for the HHR.
Same deal at Costco with the Philips line of aftermarket bulbs.

Goose; I have had my silverstars in for a long time , work great. You can't let the bulb rub anything on install. Yes a small screwdriver will pop out the center pin so you can pull the out the push in. on the push ins that don't have the center pin just get a screwdriver under it and pull out if it brakes any auto parts store will have them
