That's what I'm wondering. I've had a couple of SUV's that had a wind deflector that MOSTLY kept the back window from getting too dirty
That's what I'm looking for!!! Of course, it needs to 'add' to the lines/looks of the vehicle, overall...

That's what I figured... thought it was pretty much all looks with minimal functionality- but wasn't sure. I'd imagine it prolly keeps your (rear) window a little cleaner than mine, though!!!

If this happens to take a turn for the better- keep us posted. And as EZ stated, if it's a vendor they're looking for... I'm sure that can be arranged through people (supporting vendors) on THIS site- pending out of pocket expenses!

I guess the OEM spoiler is a bit too (dare I say ) "PT" for me. This just seemed a bit different - and quite a bit sleeker! Then again- 'if' the price is $200 a pop- it's not worth my money (for a non-painted part).

One question I DO have- Does the spoiler help keep the rear of the vehicle (especially the rear window) clean(er)??? The back of my ride gets absoluetly trashed when it rains!!!
The thing that gets me about the whole deal is I offered to make a very large purchase of the spoilers in order to get them out to the masses. I have been a business owner for over 25 years and it's not like I am some green newbie that hasn't got a clue as to how a business deal works. Actually, I have been in business much longer than the spoiler co. From what I was told initially, I thought the price would be in the $125 range. And I do agree with the statement about Mr. Profit. I was told I had pretty much a done deal but then the "Big Guy" stepped in and said No. Go figure

Clarke... As I'm sure your intentions are good... I love what you get for trying to help someone else!? O-well- when another company mimic's their design and they begin to sell (no matter how small the volume) you can call them up and 'remind' them when you offered an avenue for sales ... but that greed overpowered reason .
A business owner I'm not, but I've got enough experience to know that this could have been a Win-Win situation (for the company and customers alike). Too bad for the rest of us - ESPECIALLY IF IT LOOKS SWEET!!!!!

Please, please, please be sure to post pics of the item (painted) installed!!!! If it looks good... I'm sure I'll be asking you for their contact info. Who knows- maybe we can stir their interest by having several members contact them inquring how to get their hands on one!?!?

On another note- $125'ish sounds pretty reasonable... but if it's an ultimate 'no go' I may have to glass up something myself*

(*- too many projects... too little time )

I'd go for one of these! Now if they'd sell them pre-painted for that price we'd really have a winner

my quote $150 and now it's $75 ?
What gives?

I've reconsidered posting the email from that company. I feel it voilates ChevyHHR.net advertising policy request. I retract posting my email with company info. I know it's not them making the post, I'vej just reconsidered the copy/paste of the email. I feel it's not fair to our Supporting Vendors who pay to advertise here.
Perhaps that company would be interesting in becoming a Supporting Vendor.

OK, here's the real deal. This company, Southern Comfort Conversions, has told me so many different stories over the last several weeks, good luck deciding which one is true. They basically used the information I supplied them to hit the HHR web sites after I told them I thought there was a market for some of their parts. As far as I know, I was the first one to buy one of their spoilers as an aftermarket part. They charged me $100 and then told me later that was a price "just out of the air". They told me they weren't interested in an aftermarket business, then a couple of weeks later changed their minds and then wanted help marketing their items. The reason I was so vague in my posts was I didn't know what they were planning, pricewise. If they are saying $75 + shipping it is still a little cheaper than they had originally indicated. They then wanted me to take all the orders for HHR parts and then do a bulk order from them. That then changed to they wanted to set up several different levels of dealers in different parts of the country. I think they are basically good people but started seeing $$ signs thinking people were going to line up to buy. The fact is, they are the only game in town for an aftermarket spoiler.
