Another wheel opinion needed!

Well right now im running 18" Incubus banshee's in chrome. I have the satin finish for my black hhr's grill, etc. I was looking into 20" American Racing Casino's in Silver..they almost look hyper silver..not chrome. Not sure on dumping my chrome 18's for silver 20's? Plus my current wheels have +35mm offset and I want to lower in the spring so i would have to roll fenders. The american racing wheels have +42mm offset. I would also get a 225/35/20 tire. Would I get rubbing with that size tire I know its a little larger than stock. Gimme some opinions, my current wheels are in my gallery. Thanks

I would stay with the 18s because they are chrome. You'll also get a better ride out of the 18s. I just ordered a set of 20's for mine. Car is at the body shop so I havn't driven on the new wheels yet. You will need a 225/30/R20 to get the size you need. The side wall an the tire that you need is only 1" tall. So if you are not use to driving on Skinny rubber you may want to avoid this option.

My personal favorite size 20" tire is a 255/35/20 because its nice and tight but not Too overly harsh. These may be to hard for me.

I know the correct size is 225/30/20 but i want a little more rubber to drive on..so I would be driving 60mph and it would actually be 57ish I think that doesnt bother me..

I havent felt a difference in the 20'' I have a 245/35/20 on my hhr. I also had to mod. it to make them fit. I would do the 20'' with a 42mm off set and run a 225 or a 235/35/20 my buddy has the 30 series on his 20'' and bent a rim. But as for me I am bagging mine so all the rubbing will be ok and the rear fenders are alrady rolled. I say do the 20'' they look better then 18''

just my 2 cents

i agree the 20" looks better but i think you should stick with the 30 series tire for the rear issues

You think I would have rubbing issues with the newer goldlines or eibachs with the 35 series tire? I didnt think they lowered as much?
