Antenna delete?
Antenna delete?
Anyone done a decent one? I would kind of like to be able to use a cover and that thing sticking out like a unicorn's horn just bugs me.
I don't use the radio, I am Bluetooth only so I do not need the reception anyway. There are kits/plates for other cars all over, but I can't find one for the HHR.
Does anyone know of a possible cross-match with another vehicle?
TIA!

I haven't seen anyone here make mention of anything along that line at all.
About all that has been discussed semi-relative, is along the lines of substituting a "stubby" antenna - ie: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/audi...uestion-52023/
Years back when the HHR first came out, installing a stubby was a fairly common "mod".

I believe the best option is to remove the antenna and weld a plug into the hole , body filler, and paint to match. Might shave the door handles while you're at it. Oh, there's dozens of body mods I'd like to do!
You're talking about the radio antenna, on the front. I've just unscrewed mine from the base and keep it next to the seat, in case i want to listen to radio. If you did that, you should have no trouble with a car cover.
In my humble opinion, there is only one correct way to get rid of the roof antenna. Weld in a sheet metal piece and bondo the low spots. This of course is a huge deal when you include the painting to match.
