Sure would like to shave the ugly OEM wart off of the roof and install one of these under-dash...if it works...

 

I don't know how it could work inside the partial Faraday cage of the sheet metal body. Maybe it could.

I would bet $.02 that it is a 1 meter long wire wound up inside a plastic box. Maybe with some sort of amplifier.

If you were going to remove the stock wart, You could just install that in the glove box. The amplifier is in the wart.
