Im just afraid to mess with hood. Drilling and cutting it up. I would have to take it to a place to get it done. there are a few body shops in my area but they all look kinda shady i don't trust em.

We have lots of members down south. You should go to Toms Farm I bet you will be able to get referrals to folks you can trust, and see a lot of cool HHR's .

Well one thing you can do if your budget allows, is to get a hood from a salvage yard, have it scooped or experiment on it yourself. If you like the end results, swap it out for your stock hood, but if you get the hood done and think...oh crap, what did I do, you're just out the cost of a salvage hood and materials. Your HHR will still be stock and ready for another idea.

That is a great idea, and I actually went a few weeks ago to the local yard to help out my dad but I didn't find a single HHR there. Seems newer cars are hard to find in that yard, I guess ill have to try another one.

Mine is also functional, and was done almost 3 years ago. At a cost of maybe 30$

I tried to buy this one.

I like it the BEST, I think it flows nicely with the HHR's hoods curves and is a nice retro cowl look.

But he is no longer making and selling them.
I got an email reply saying he maybe doing a Full Fiberglass Hood with it instead. He said there were problems with people installing it and they complained about seam cracks.
Thats POOR Installation on the buyers part, weather they did it themselves or had a bodyshop do it.

I had heard that a full hood was gonna be offered many months ago by others from him, guess he is still just saying he's making one in the next few months and hasn't so far.
I Doubt very much he is really going to make them.

As a former body and Fender Man, i know how to install it, wish he had ONE left when I had contacted him about it.

I Really WANT this one for my Panel.

It does look better than I expected it to, but I still prefer the stock lines. My mind might change at some point, though.
