BatDude-

nice work.... I think Bart's gonna be pretty damn happy with 'em

you just need to accent them with some painters tape eyelids...

I have a hard time believing that this wouldn't noticeably reduce your headlight's function- It's like those GTO brand taillight covers I always see on old Cavaliers/etc., I mean, yeah, I can see that you are hitting the brakes by the faint red light being emitted through the cover, but you've actually paid money to reduce the function of a pretty important part of your vehicle! I'm not a legality-concerned modder, but really...

I have mine tinted also, and at night I turn the fogs on. Some times during the day also. Got mine through Headlight Armor, off their site.

According to the Headlight Armor website they absolutely cut the light from between 50-80%. The following is directly from their website;

"If you see a product that looks pretty dark chances are it is going to block light transmission. We have not found a way to make a chrome headlight or taillight look really dark black and yet have no effect on light output."

"Headlight Armor Smoked Lighting kits are available in three levels of tinting
Light Smoke 50%
Standard Smoke 30%
Dark Stealth Smoke 20% "

"Keep in mind that if you want dark lights and brighter lights at the same time you are asking too much. Generally speaking, trying to make the lights brighter will introduce more additional light than additional heat. Trying to darken the lights by 'tinting' them, and then making up for the loss in output with different bulbs is asking for trouble."
