Billet Grill

I have the upper and lower billit grills I am thinking about getting them Black Powder coated. Has any done this and what do think of this? Please let me know before I take them in on Wednesday.

i havent seen one powder coated before. I say it depends on what color your car is plus what type of rims you have. If you're rolling with black rims it would look good. If you have chromed rims and chromed trimmings on your HHR the black grilles wouldnt look so good.

My Carriage Works grille is black powder coated. They buffed the grille to expose the aluminum after powder coating so it's shiny on the front faces of the bars but the rest of the bar is black along with the support bars. Carriage Works also offers a non-buffed all black powder coated grille. I agree with HHR PNOY about how it will look.

You can black powdercoat the grill, but in the long run will get chipped up from rocks and debris hitting it. Anodizing might hold up better.

is that the stock grille? do you have a close up pic of the grille? I cant really tell anything else about the picture you posted other than the grille being black.

They are the Precision Grilles both upper and lower that I had black gloss powdercoated.
