Painted it. Twice.. First time I painted it while it was still on the car. Looked smooth and perfect, then when i was pulling off the paper used to mask off the rest of the car, some tape came off the car and stuck to the bowtie, ripping off a layer of paint.. FML.. Sooo i just sawed it off with fishing line, then had to sand the whole thing down and soak it in some paint removal/tar removal/other chemicals i probably shouldn't have mixed together, got off all the paint and started over.. Doesn't look at smooth as the first time, but it still looks pretty good.

Old model car builders trick: Soaking a painted plastic piece in a tub of Super Clean (used to be called Castrol's Super Clean) will remove paint from plastic without hurting the plastic. Can take anywhere from an hour to overnight depending on paint chemical make up. DO NOT EVER place Super Clean in those cheap throw away aluminum pans. It will eat through that and you will have a mess. Use a plastic container.

Thanks everyone!

I was super impatient with the recleaning of the bowtie, so i did whatever came to me first haha. It matches the tail lights bc they are kinda gritty in apperance up close, so the more i look at it, the more pleased i am with it.

I definately need to get started on my headlights to keep up with all the audi style LED lights and halo rings and whatelse. Coming soon!

Looks great :)

Its on my list to do as well, the rear foil is all melted and I figured black on black will look great ... but I think I'm going to go the vinyl route.
