Anybody ever remove the bowtie emblems on their grill or hatch? If so what is behind there? Is it just chrome or will I end up with holes ? I think they are just stick ons but want tomake sure before I try to pull them off.

I like the way yours turned out. Very nice. I don't mind the bowtie there, I was just trying to get rid of the emblem on top. If there are holes below the emblem I will have to wait for now or do something closer to what you did.

Are you just trying to get rid of the gold but are generally happy with the bowtie shape? If so there are a few options. You could paint them, put vinyl on them, replace them with a different color one (a banned member put older blue ones on his from the days when Chev used a variety of colors) or with billet ones.

Yes, that is generally what I want. I have viewed the threads on the decals, from colored to scripted. I thought they would look different if the shape of the bowtie was there, but not the gold emblem. Just kinda a sneaky mod. Maybe I'll have to buy a new one and experiment on it to see what I like.

Beware of the vinyl overlays.......due to the "3D" effect of the emblem, there will be a gold perimeter around the edge.

I was thinking about taking the billet bowtie off my S-10 and putting it on the back. Shaving it looks pretty good too though...

Where did you get your extra beauty bars from?
