Clear bra is what I had installed when I purchased my HHR. I was worried because I drive to work each day until mid-2008 with freeway reconstruction. I have had my HHR for 9 months with 14,000 miles and don't have any paint chips on the front of the car. Had to replace the windshield and 5 window chip repairs. I think the clear bra (make by 3M) did a good job for me.

300-500 dollars installed seems to be the going price but not sure on the HHR...also depends how much you want to protect...just the hood? The whole front end? The mirrors etc, headlights? Rocker panels?

I got numbers from Motor Trend so who knows how accurate they are
