Canuck Motorsports Lowering and NEW SHOES

Canuck Motorsports Springs installed (200 Miles on them) and gunmetal Cobalt 18" SS rims. Installed new Monroe Sensitrack shocks at all 4 corners.

So far the springs have been great on almost every road. A little firmer, which I actually wanted. I commute 50 kms twice a day, and they are quite manageable.

Some of the HUGE bumps around Winnipeg here have bounced the back end pretty good. I didn't cut the bumpstops like the Goldlines suggest, since I didn't think it would be as big a drop, but I'm thinking maybe I should have.

I don't think the drop is quite as big as the Goldlines, but I wouldn't want to go much lower since I still use it for work. The rears don't bounce off when the suspension gets fully extended.

All in all, the springs are a great buy for the price (Ebay was 189.95 or something, I think). No complaints at all. Just don't expect any installation instruction or help at all.

Hope this helps anyone who was thinking about buying them, and feel free to comment on my daily beater! :)

EDIT: Mods, maybe someone could move this to the suspension section?

My local cobalt club has a group buy going for quite a bit less. Are yours the same as the cobalt ones, or does CM do HHR specific ones?

Right. Must have got the purchase price confused with something else I bought! They were roughly $110. A much better deal than I thought! According to eBay they were hhr specific, but I don't know for sure.

Do you have the CM part number on any box or receipt?
Their site lists parts 2130.41100 for the cobalt non ss, and 2130.42100 for the cobalt SS.

There was no packing slip or anything so I didn't notice a part number. i'll check the box if I remember.

Thanks for the +comment HHR_style.

It's missing a few options: There's no 7-speaker, leather, sunroof, auto.

But I wanted the manual, don't care for leather at all, and can do my own stereo eventually. The sunroof would have been nice. lol

I looked at those springs on eBay before I bought Goldlines. Great price. Looks like they give it a nice stance. Love 18" Cobalt wheels on an HHR.
