I only have to cut off the very top bar so the rest of the gril will probably be perfect for what you want. I need to decide if I want to put on some type of bowtie or lettering on the new grill, or just leave it the way it is.

JMO, but I think it will look more "custom" sans any emblems or lettering in front.

(Your opinion may vary...)

I was thinking the same thing but there are some cool add on billet bowties. But then again a polished billet bowtie isn't going to really stand out against a polished billet grill. I guess the bowtie doesn't really matter now that I have a big flaming bowtie across my front window. Thanks SoCal!

It does say no cutting required on Carriage Works web site. Also I actually called and spoke to a lady in the Carriage Works customer service / product support department who looked the part up in their computer system and she told me no cutting required. I don't care anyways, it's simple enough to do.

I was a little at first but it's really not all that hard to do and I love how it looks. It's worth the effort for the grill I want. Here is a rough idea of what is involved in installing the Carriage Works upper billet grill. Take out the stock grill out and remove it from it support frame. Cut off the top bar from the grill and reinstall the top bar in the frame. Reinstall the frame and top bar on your HHR. Install the billet grill mounting hardware to the frame and install the billet grill. Easy enough, it shouldn't take more than an hour or so. I guess not everything can be totaly easy. Sometimes I have to put some effort into things rather than just unbolt old and bolt in new. I figure the lady I talked to there didn't really know what she was talking about because she sits at a desk all day answering phones rather than handling their parts. It would be like asking one of the buyers where I work about some specific part we make. They would be left clueless other than the info they could pull off the computer.
