In-Channel Vent Visors

Which do you prefer: In-Channel Vent Visors or the Vent Visors that are taped on? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to each type like, with the In-Channel having water leak problems because it doesn't cover the whole window? Please help me out with this.

There are many options. Some in-channel vents do cover the entire rear window. Check out this thread and it may give you some insight: Window Vents

The only problem I have ever had with the tape on is, hitting them when it is cold out. They just popped off and cracked. Luckily no paint peeled off, but it may in the warmer weather. I went to the in channel ones after that and thought they were better. Just my opinion.

Thumbs up $27.50 for EGR vent visors on StylinTrucks.com!

I just though I would share this deal I found with anyone who is looking for a set of 4 In-Channel Vent Visors from EGR. A GREAT PRICE! I have a set of these that I purchased from SoCal HHRs when they were still in business, but for much more than $27.50!

I went w/WeatherTech in channel. They cover the entire rear window. Real slick. No water leakage, looks killer.

i went WeatherTech as well. they cost much more than the EGR and other brands, but IMO it was worth the appearance difference. you can look in my gallery for pictures of the WeatherTech in channel, to see what we mean on the rear window. i tried to find a pic real fast of the other type, as i believe WeatherTech is the only brand with the entire rear window coverage. i'm sure someone else can chime in with pictures of the other type.

btw, i ordered mine for roughly $110 shipped from WeatherTech's website, you might be able to find them for less. i didn't feel like hunting around and possibly ending up with some random online store that isn't very fast on processing/shipping and has bad customer service, so i just went direct.

disclaimer-if any supporting vendors carry them, i wasn't aware, sorry! not trying to say any of our vendors are "random online stores...etc." as i said before.

I also have the WeatherTechs and love them. The other thing to watch for is how they fit at the bottom front of the front windows (right by the mirrors). The WT's go all the way down to the sheet metal. Some of the others stop at that triangle plastic piece at the front edge of the window.

have weather tech... everyone that has tape on and have seeen my wishes that they had gone with the in channel... very neet and clean... have them on the hhr and the dodge pu trk...

vents work well if you have a pet... you can bring the windows down to the vent level... most people don t see that the window is partially down... crack the sunroof a bit if you have one... plenty of ventilation.

In channels visors just look a lot cleaner.
