Anyone know of a chrome replacement antenna which will work with the HHR?

Went to Advance auto and the had a big selection but their "universal" wasn't.

Lots of antennaes on Ebay in chrome
just make sure you get the right diameter. most come with 2 different diameters

You might check with crazybob...he got one off ebay and said it was a VW chrome antenna. Only problem I have with chrome one is that the base is black and it might look a little odd...but that's just me. Hope this helps.

The problem I'm running into is that the fittings either go into the antenna too far or not enough.

I've already tried 6. That's why I was hoping that maybe someone had found one that worked.

My experience with ebay, on which I've made 100's of transactions-buying and selling, is that it is often difficult to tell if an item will work or is even close to what is described.

I'm sure that anyone who has ever used ebay has at least one story like this.
