Lightbulb Chrome trim rings for tail lights

My father has been a master mechanic for nearly 40 years for Batesville Casket Company. He was amazed that I drove over 300 miles one way to a HHR run in Ill. We have been talking about Silver Sally lots lately since the run and I told him that I was super interested in getting some chrome trim rings for her tail lights. Well on friday we took my lights both top and bottom to two different local stamping plants/ factories. One said no right away, the other was very interested. They put both lights in this machine that let them make a 3d computer drawing of the lights. It was very interesting to watch. They will be getting back to us in a few days. Today I went to a factory in madison indiana that makes aftermarket taillights for thr RV market. They are looking into making new light assemblies with the chrome(plastic) molded into the lights. I just wanted to share the info with all of my new friends. When I know more, I will update this thread. I hope that even one of these places will be able and willing to help us out with this.
Sorry for having a poll that Deb has already done. Mine is more specific as to the options that I have presented to me. I will use her poll as well as this poll to help facilitate the manufacure of one of these. thanks... pizzaman

Hi Pizzaman, I can tell you that your name has come more than a few times since the RUN. Pleased to meet you.
That was a great idea, to take the lights to someone who can actually do something with them. Fantastic. Say hi to your Dad, and Thanx too.
I think the Plastic Chrome rings would probably be the least expensive to make, and would look good. You keep forging ahead.
I think a bunch of us will be paying you a visit soon. Holla B/B

My father in law is working on the site at any given time of the day and For some reason it always resets the counter every time he logs into it. I could arrange a delivery, the Pie prices are great, but the delivery charge would kill you. I guarantee that if you like pizza my pies will be in your top 3 that you have ever had.

Well, I think I am going to have to pass for a while. At 276 miles each way to eat, this would be the most expensive pizza I ever had. You need to bring a few of those pizzas with you for the next run???????
