Cragar S/S 600 FWD

Has anyone had experience with the new line of Cragar S/S wheels for the HHR? I've been looking for something like this since the Euromax 612 left the building. I tried to order a set of grey center from Performance Plus but they checked with Cragar and said they won't have them until the end of August.

Rick

Thanks. I liked them more before they started to rust.

If the Cragars are the chrome ones they will rust also especially if you use them in the winter.

I want the grey center/machined lip. However, the chromes are also one-piece aluminum and chrome plated, so I don't think rust would be a problem.

I can almost bet the chrome plate will pit so bad, I had issues with them in the past.

You could be right about that. I liked the grey because it seems to be the closest to the original AR Torq-Thrust which is what I'd REALLY like to have.

You know guys, that Euromax is still in business and to be honest I think what happened is the 612's didn't fly off the shelves back in 06 and 07 so they stopped production. 2 years later there seems to be more interest in the 612's so maybe if enough people call them up and ask they would make some more. What do you think? Here is a link to their site, which still shows the 612's for other cars.

smooth rust

if you still like the smooth look , maybe you could try the smoothies that are not chrome....i think they are spun aluminum....i also believe they are the 1s i keep seeing on fleabay for about $79....they may also polish up more shiny if you like...you could take them up 1 more step of shine by getting them powdercoated clear....i think they may look nice with a chevrolet script on them also.....i know , i get a little carried away sometmes

Mine are chromed rims with Baby Moons. The rust is along the lip and inside edge. Alot of it cleans up with chrome polish but not all. I could probably cover it with trim rings, but I think they are stainless steel and probably not as shiny as chome is (although, the Baby Moons are polished stainless and are as shiny as chrome). Cragar says they have 17" grey centers now, but won't have 16s until December.
