Don't they make led or lighted sleeve for wiring now, orange or yellow would look very nice over the wiring for the sub, amp and capacitor.
I have to disagree, from a design stand-point, there is too much going on in there. A piece of diamond plate under the stereo equipment would have tied the whole design together better and made the equipment stand out as a display, which is (i'm assuming) was the point, since there isn't a good place for display thats readily visible. Also, clean up the wiring.. drill some holes and hide it! clean, clean ,clean.

How about something like this and using orange heat shrink on the ends like they suggested? I'm sure someone out there makes bigger or smaller as needed.

Some of that computer grade sleeving like that also glows under black light..... Might be an interesting effect.

I tried with the chekerplate..cant get things to sit "flush" and level due to the raised lines in the rack itself....shims work but dont look right too much of a gap but I do agree it would tie things together..maybe a piece of foam or sumthin..weekend is comin..

Pyro-

looks pretty sweet... I'm sure you tried/looked but if you flip the shelf thingy over the center ribs and outer lip is the same height might be easier to lay a sheet of plate on there

just my worthless 2 pennies

Some of that sticky foam draft tape would work and keep it from rattling
