Dash Kits (don't want woodgrain)

I just got my HHR (a used 06) in Majestic Amethyst. I would love to do a dash kit but I want Amethyst to match not woodgrain. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Have you looked on eBay?

They have some.

Congrats on your HHR.

There are kits just like those wood grain ones but made in chrome/aluminum or carbon fiber. Just search "HHR dash kit" on ebay, there are even colored dash kits, a bit more expensive but........

Just an example..........DASH KIT Many more sellers.

Or you could just always custom paint it yourself.

Here's mine painted.........

BTW.....

I have looked on eBay but can't find purple or amethyst. I finally figured out that booksmitty (I think that's the right name) painted a kit. Another member replied to my private message saying that he painted the actual parts. I'm very intimidated by that! LOL

Someone could make a killing producing kits to match the exterior colors (like on the PT Cruiser) Wish I had the know-how.

Just check around the internet and look for a good price, sometimes you may come across sale and/or free shipping.

I think I'm going to get brave and do some painting. Decided to go very subtle though. I'm just going to do the switch surrounds on the steering wheel and the surround for the window switches and storage thingy. Just a couple little splashes of color. My husband threatened to divorce me if I painted the whole thing! He has to drive her on the weekends and he's afraid I'm "girling" it up too much.

I guess I'll contact my dealership and see if I can get some touchup paint. I saw someone here mention it. Must figure out what the other stuff is...something about "adhesion enhancer" or something. I know you can't paint plastic with regular paint and I don't want to go with Krylon or whatever it's called because it won't match my exterior. Why don't I bookmark threads?!?
Off to search again...

I bought some stuff at Walmart called Bulldog Adhesion Promoter...it ran me less than $6.00 and I got it at Walmart. I painted the fuse box and coil cover Sunburst Orange to match my HHR. Picked up small can of spray from the dealer that is same color as the car. That ran about $11.00 a can.

Hope to be able to hook up with you and we can talk about all sorts of stuff you can do to the HHR. I've been on forums for about 18 months and have picked up a ton of great ideas.

BTW... to the forum.
