You guys really like that?
It's a large sheet of vinyl outlined with cheap chrome trim strips (similar to what you could order through companies like JC Whitney). Where's the $800 going? For them to throw this "package" together for you?

Dealers here in Michigan will toss anything on a car to markup the cost (it's the HHR equivalent of those hideous carriage roofs they slap on everything from DeVilles to Malibus). Work it right and you'll be able to get them to throw in a set of Vogues and gold emblems.

On the Panel it looks OK, the way it breaks up the color.

I do agree, being just Vinyl, stick on chrome and not painted, it would be a little cheesy and probaly not hold up over time, plus not worth the $800, markup.

In the dealer's pocket!

YEP!

Later,

No pics yet, but our local Chevy Dealer did another custom job. It's a 2008 Red LS HHR with blacked out emblems, tinted taillights, tinted windows, lowered and sitting on 20" Black Rims. Will get some pics this weekend.

Dayton, They went with the 20" rims after they saw how they looked on mine. They also let me drive the black SS that they had Monday.

Rob, we had our other car in for service when the SS came in it. It was being prepped but they offered to let us drive it. Haven't done so yet. Will get pics of the red LS this weekend. Sure doesn't look like there is very much rubber on those 20's.
