DEPO Headlights IN!

Well, I FINALLY got my DEPO's in!! They look AWSOME!! Now, 1 or 2 clips(the oval shaped ring that's part of the bumper that pops onto the clip attached to the body on either side of the lights) broke as we took the bumper off. Yes we used a small tool to help pry apart but I noticed those rings on the bumper are SO FRIGGIN THIN that I would imagine even a body shop or dealer could break them and they're unable to detach from bumper to be replaced. They're part of the bumper!

My mechanic friends assured me that they're more of a formality anyway but most are intact and the screws actually hold the bumper on. Well it seems to be holding fine with no problems.

Can anyone concur that the screws do the main job?

Anyway these lights actually seem brighter.

Looks good, you really should consider photography, as a vocation you have the touch for it.

Such a completed look! I love it!

I do concur that the screws do most of the work, however, you can get vibration from wind getting into places where there is too much space without a push clip.. My suggestion? Buddy up to a Parts Manager and ask for a bulk rate. Like 6 clips for $2-3 I know.. Pay? They do have to make some money though! And they are worth having a couple of.

When I put my DEPO's in, I noticed the same thing - one of the loops on the outside of the passenger headlight was 'torn'. The gap between the bumper skin and the body panel is a bit wider on that side than on the driver side, but it's not terrible. It's been about 9 months or so for me, and I've had no ill effects. In fact, I had noticed the gap before I took the cover off, so I suspect the torn loops were there before I touched the bumper cover.

Thanks! Yeah I love taking photos. Pure amature. I have more art based pics in my May featured HHR submission but I didn't want to do a full on double post
