Diamond plate floor mats?

Thought I would let you fellow HHR owners that I purchased some really cool diamond plate floor mats, now I know these aren't for everybody, but they cut to the hhr floor pattern and I think they look really sharp ,they also fit really well (no moving around they stay put) here are a few pictures of them and if you would like to get a pair ($75.00) follow the link .....

I think they match really well with djhubba's ride.

I wonder how long before somebody comes up with diamond plate (or carbon fiber) for the top of the running boards? That'd look cool!

Yep, $75 sounds about right. :)

I had a full set of diamond plates in my old PT... the front mats were car specific but I still have the rear mats. (would work in the HHR)

Yeah, that would be cool! Go for that whole matching Diamond Plate look.

I'm sure someone will come out with matching sill plates too.

I'm waiting for polished billet aluminum to come along. That would be awesome! I'm not to sure about using carbon fiber on an HHR. It will probably make it to ricey for my taste seeing as how every little riced out bling box has carbon fiber everything. I hate when they put a carbon fiber hood on and don't paint it. Then it's no longer for weight saving it's just to show off. I like carbon fiber on high end sports cars and and muscle cars but that's about it. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt that take away from the purpose of floor mats? The car has steel floors that we cover with carpet to absorb puddles from rain/snow and to not be slippery. It seems like you are going backwards with these!

I was thinking about making my own since my pops can get a 4x8 sheet for like $120.I was thinking I might have enough left over to cover my sub floor when I build it.I like the polished aluminum idea too..

It's mostly a show mod... I removed mine in the winter & had a different set of mats for such occasions.

However if you live in AZ or west coast etc, rain/snow isn't much of a problem. Lucky them!

I thought about those mats because they would match the diamond plate accents I am doing but I decide they were a bit rigid for my tastes..I went with the premium rubber mats with the logo..they are easily removed for cleaning and really do catch all the foot crud transferred to the car. I did however cut a lil rectangular piece of diamond plate fro the foot rest platform to the left of the pedals..that looks cool. I really like the LOOKS of the diamond plate floormats though. From the pictures..they look like they fit well..I have heard complaints of mis fittings from people who own other types of cars. Looks like they fit well in the HHR.
