I know this is a touchy subject but here goes..what do you think with the skirts..p.s..i couldnt get Bob from CaliCustoms to hold em for me so bricks had to do...

I've seen them on a beautiful HHR and thought it would have looked even better without them.

Love skirts on 50s cars, but for certain not on the HHR. But... it's your car.

Looks unbalanced...better on the old cars that has the swoopy lines and the half sized rear wheel wells,,,,,

The wheels set the car off too well to take them away with the skirts. Have you tried to photoshop skirts with a partial eliptical curve to show off more of the wheel? I have seen this technique on some chopper fenders.
