DOOR LOCKS Painful

DOOR LOCKS Painful

Has anybody came up with a way to make the door looks less painful? I always hurnt my arm when I put it out the window. These things are dangerous. anyboyd make new ones? shorters ones? Anybody else have these problems?

Like Captn said. Not really much that can be done on the door locks. After a few ripped shirts, you learn to tolerate them. lol..jk

I thought about that option. Hardest part would probably figuring out how much to shorten and then rethread the rods.

Ok here is what I did and it was very simple. Take a pair of channel locks and wrap the jaws with elec. tape. Now firmly grab the lock and twist off. Next I took a dremmel tool and cut the metal rod as close to the door as it would allow. Next Itrimmed the plastic lock at the half way mark BETWEEN THE LINE THAT'S ON THE SIDE AND THE END. Not the center of the lock. That may not be close enogh so just keep trimming until when you put it on it sticks up about 1/4-3/8. Perfect hieght, you won't even notice it

here are mine after i lowered them to fix the problem
Stock Lock buttons on all 4 doors, i never changed them
now you see the stock lock buttons



now you dont
