I just wanted to chime in about the hot glue. I live in Arizona and have actually had hot glue get soft again in the summer and turn to goo (it was holding up a small tweeter). I don't trust it. I just used the regular Walmart brand glue though, not sure if there are better quality glues? Maybe thats what my problem was but from my experience hot glue may not hold. Maybe gorilla glue or something like that but then you could never get it back off again. Just my 2 cents :)

thanks for the infor guys, I know it does not get as hot in the Atl as in Arizona but I was wondering that very thing about the glue getting hot again. I guess I'll just take the door panel off, and tape it really well and make a go of it. I'll post pics of the whole process when its all done.

Hope it comes out nice, post the pics when done.

There are different types of hot glue. The white stuff is usually the lower temp, weaker stuff. Then there is the clear which is OK. Then the black is the best. Of course then each color has different types. There is a ABS type black glue that is the same as OEM, that is what I use. I get mine at the local art supply store here as the hardware store does not have it. Select Products used to have it but I am not sure anymore.
You can always use an epoxy too.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. I actually used the clear or milky colored glue sticks. I'll have to check out the local arts and crafts store and see what they have. Thanks for the tip!
