Dream Weaver's Custom Interior

Met Doug (Dream Weaver) a couple of times at HHR Meets and he has a pretty awesome interior and noticed he's never posted anything about it here. So here is his SWEET custom bench seat interior:

Doug, tell us more. BTW, you still need to submit for Featured HHR

Nice job, but i hate bench seats, unless you go slow all the time. They are wayyy to bouncy and there is 0 side support. The only thing it good is well.......... birds and the bees type stuff

i am digging the bench seat but i would need a pull down armrest in it. It would be great when I want to ride close to the wife but for everyday driving, i need an armrest (or for when i don't want to sit close to her...ha)

Don't you have to have a head rest to be street legal?

This is the PM I got from him a while back when I asked............
1993 Chevy S-10 bench. No head rests. Cut my own notch. Pulled out rear part of console and e-brake. Used mounting gear from drivers stock bucket. When I repadded the bench I put the sensor pad for the passenger airbag in. Then I ordered the Seat Covers from automotiveinteriors.com and they did a spectacular job. There ya go. Now you know as much as I do. Thanx for the praise.

Now that is a really retro mod! I don't much care for bench seats (though my wife liked them when we were dating!), but this is very cool.
