I did this yesterday with the Home Depot gutter guard. You do not really notice it, and I am not sure how much it will protect, but you can not go wrong for about $3.00 for the project.

I believe that's what I have read here...as long as you have enough and it fits snugly...I don't see why they wouldn't work.

IF you use zip-ties, be sure to inspect then regularly and change them if discolored, as they will be subject to lots of heat (especially when the car cools down after running), and the temperature differential will weaken them causing brittleness.

You don't want to lose your protective shield!

I am planning on using zip-ties to secure the lower portion of the grill to the lower bumper using the suggested zip-ties mounting bases. If one breaks it will not be a big deal since the grill is mounted using the two post already there.

Yea I usd the zip-tie base but didn't use a zip tie. I got some 14AWG copper wire and tied it off using that.
