I need to buy some floor mats for my HHR, especially before winter approaches just to keep the carpet clean. I regularly have 3 kids sitting in the back and they drag all sorts of dirt and snow in with them.

In my previous vehicle (1997 Monte Carlo) I bought one of those long one-piece truck floor mats and laid it down across the back seat floor area. Unfortunately there isn't enough room to do the same with the HHR. I can buy 2 square ones for the areas behind the front seats but that won't help with the exposed middle area. What floor mats do you guys use that fit the HHR to keep dirt/snow etc. off the carpet in the front and back areas?

Also, I've got the cashmere interior and wanted to know if Scotchguarding the carpet is worth doing. I'm looking for something that's colorfast and does a good job. What should I buy and use?

I also have the Cashmere interior. I bought the Nifty Products Catch-All mats, which are color-matched pretty well and perform very well here in the Buffalo,NY area (snow & salt). My set had a two-piece rear, but at the following link (nifty Products), they show a one-piece that wraps over the hump. You might want to check it out. The best price I found for their products was at Summit Racing (www.summitracing.com).

Ha ha! I can't sell any children because they aren't mine! Actually, it's my goddaughter, her brother and sometimes her cousin that regularly ride in the back as I pick them up from school etc. Hopefully I'll still have my HHR if/when I ever get married and have kids of my own. (And hopefully the HHR will prove helpful in attracting the ladies as well!)

So, has anybody used the Scotchguard line of products, especially on the cashmere interior? Can you recommend anything else for easy carpet cleaning and protection?
