Mine fits perfectly down in the little slot by the gear shift. I don`t know if it was supposed to be an ash tray or coin holder...

Garage opener

I put mine in the glove box on the top of the dash. Just open it and push the button.

That's a good idea also. The more I use that box the more I like it. I wonder why other car makers never thought of using that empty space!

well.. Ilike the skylink thing... but I took apart my door opener and figured out how to soder a wired switch in and could mount a push button switch some where.. I'll take some pic's when I actually get to do it and share with the group.. Currently thinking about drilling a hole in the cowl where the widow switches are.. i pulled out the rubber "coin tray" and figured out how to get the part closest to the gear shift loose but the upper end is firmly attached... I didnt want to pry to much and break something.. Has anybody ever taked this cover off?

well got time to make the mod to day... and after two trips to Radio Shack and several curse words (due my inability to soder wires to switches) .. I basiscly took apart my garage door opener and soder some wire to switch terminals and the other end of the wires to a push button switch that i monted .. then I hide the remote in the consol.. works good and now i have my coin holder back..

I had a couple choices of switches .... I didnt coose ether of these but they would have worked..

That was a great idea! I had one of those programmable buttons in my minivan. The only concern I had was that I park it outside. It wasn't a problem when it was my only car. Now I'm afraid someone will break into it. If they get in my car, they can get in my house. If I had a choice, I'd have a remote I can carry with me like the one to open the car.

Sandy Beach....

good thinking. Just happened down the street from me.
Broke into the truck in the driveway, used the garage door opener to gain access to the garage, closed the door while inside and used the "scuttle" hole in the garage ceiling to get to the attic. Then broke through the ceiling drywall to get into the house. Appears like they moved everything they wanted into the garage then loaded it into another vehicle. Slick
