The same guy that swapped me his door handles got a new billet grille for his SS, well he wanted the emblem so he tried to cut it off well it didn't turn out right so he gave the Grille im trying to figure out if its salvageable. Im thinking of making it all open and not having the bar through it.Kind of like how the concept HHR SS Panel looked.

 

can you just put a new bowtie on it, or no? Can't tell since i don't know what one looks like without the bowtie.

also, i thought it didn't work without cutting the bumper down a bit.

Yea i would have to cut the bumper to make it work, the bowtie was made into the bar that goes across the grille.

 

You know what would look sweet? Cust a piece of red plastic lexan to fit into it. Or, a piece of white plastic pearloid. You know the stuff they make guitar pickguards out of.

Maybe you could add this one, and rework it a little to make it fit.

30 bucks wow that's alot for that little sucker, i actually have another grille and I am about to buy another one from a local guy for 20 dollars.

You might try automotive swapmeets they often sell chevy bowties in different colors. Just take the dimensions and a tape measure. Good Luck
