of the rear side? want to see how you bent the mesh and attached it...especially to the back of the bowtie and bar

oo found a picture finally of GTOmikes (i think thats the name) epoxied some small wooden blocks along the centre bar which then he used tiny screws to secure mesh nice and tight and tight along the bar

I used epoxy to mount stainless steel screws to the inside of the top and bottom of the grille, and alsoput an aluminum plate behind the center bar with 6-32 studs sticking out for fastening the mesh...check the pics in the link

Probably more permanant than wood blocks, especially in Winter .....

oh cool, didnt notice that...so for the top and bottom, did you just glue the bolt standing up? or did you put a nut down as a base? because I see thats what you did on the middle bar

The bottom screws are epoxied to the inside if the grille.
The top and middle rows of screws are fastened to aluminum plates with nuts, and the plates are glassed to the grille. Maybe over kill, but after putting all the work into the plastic, I wanted the metal grille to be stongly fastened to add support.

ahh ok i see...is fiberglassing needed to attach the plate? or will epoxy be strong enough?
ive never worked with fiberglass

Find an epoxy that will bond to ABS plastic with a strength rating of at least 3000psi. You'll want to strip the chrome from any areas you apply the epoxy.
