ive never worked with fiberglass
Epoxy is what I used to mount the aluminum plates and screws to the grille.
I used the fiberglass to backup the bondo that filled the holes that were left from cutting off the grille bars.
They sell small fiberglass kits at the auto parts store,,,simple to use,and provides good strength to your grill in the weakened areas.

I used some stuff that said it was for plastic..It's been to long to remember the brand
