skyline26 12-16-2012 05:14 PM

are those the pre-cut ones? how long have you had them? easy to install? durable?

Putter 12-16-2012 06:44 PM

Like this? Mine were by RVinyl (ebay)
Install required a heat gun to curve the edges correctly. They held up great to road grime, etc...
BUT...
Light output was cut in half, at least. Might have been better if I was running HIDs.

yours look more "grey" compared to the one i found on ebay which has a blue-ish tinge to it

I installed some too but took them off in two days as they cut the light output in half or more like mentioned above. Mine were he pre cuts and were grey/dark versions. Lightish blue may not be as bad but they all should cut output a to some degree.

didnt know it diminished the light ouput that much! i tinted my tail lights with VHT 3 coats and they are still bright...i just dont find my Depos tinted enough

SS fan 12-16-2012 08:17 PM

Ha Ha don't do it to depos unless you are running HID, depos are already darker. I have them out in the cabinate let me look, I'll send them to you.

haha no HID's, just regular bulbs :)

silverstreet 12-16-2012 09:04 PM

Is tinting the headlamps all about looks or what is the reason someone would want to do this? Same goes for people who install HID light systems. What is the point? Just wondering.

during normal driving conditions...HID's are useless in fog and rain, make visibility even worse

Maybe not old fashioned but just old?
For me. The eyes ain't what they used to be. I need all the light I can get. Especially at night.

Says who? I see much better in the fog and rain with mine. The output of light is greater than that of stock bulbs so why would that change during the fog or rain?
