headlight film tint

has anyone used it? if so, hows it holding up? easy to lay on?

are those the pre-cut ones? how long have you had them? easy to install? durable?

Like this? Mine were by RVinyl (ebay)
Install required a heat gun to curve the edges correctly. They held up great to road grime, etc...
BUT...
Light output was cut in half, at least. Might have been better if I was running HIDs.

yours look more "grey" compared to the one i found on ebay which has a blue-ish tinge to it

I installed some too but took them off in two days as they cut the light output in half or more like mentioned above. Mine were he pre cuts and were grey/dark versions. Lightish blue may not be as bad but they all should cut output a to some degree.

didnt know it diminished the light ouput that much! i tinted my tail lights with VHT 3 coats and they are still bright...i just dont find my Depos tinted enough

Ha Ha don't do it to depos unless you are running HID, depos are already darker. I have them out in the cabinate let me look, I'll send them to you.

Is tinting the headlamps all about looks or what is the reason someone would want to do this? Same goes for people who install HID light systems. What is the point? Just wondering.
