Help needed
I will post photos later, but just to get you guys (and gals) started, here is my situation. I have 'The Flash', which as most of you know, is red with yellow flames. I removed the roof antenna, roof rack, and rear spoiler. They have been covered with decals for now, but I am going to bring it in to a body shop soon to have the holes covered and a few dings and dents repaired. I spoke with the owner yesterday, and he asked me a question that I never even thought about-painting the roof a different color.
So, my question is, any suggestions? I have to run out now, but I took some excellent (modesty) photos that I will upload and post when I get back.
The thing to keep in mind is that the flames are vinyl and will probably soon come off. Perhaps now is the time to have real paint flames done??? But what color for the roof, and how far down to extend it.
Hopefully since I finally took photos with a nice background, I may even enter the monthly contest.

i've got an all black with black interior, and the heat is fine. I mean yeah if it's 95 out the inside of the car is hot, but that's how it goes.
If you're into painting the roof, pose this question to her since i see you're in NY ( don't know where but i'm guessing it gets cold in the winter and possibly snowy) Wouldn't that keep your car a little warmer in those conditions? When i was in michigan we definitely had more time of the year where it is cold you want the car warm then the other way around.

Can't tell what your trim color is but if you have a tan interior try a shade of gold, tan, antique white,or beige. If it's a gray or black interior,go with dark gray, pewter, black,or a shade of silver.Or to be really different,go with a very dark red(Buick did that back in the 80's on Regals and LeSabres)and set it off with a stipe to compliment your interior color.

Lee, here's one of the FEW examples I've seen of a different roof color that doesn't continue down over the hood...this probably isn't even what you're thinking, since they left the actual roof panel black...but the hard part was ending the silver at the windshield instead of including the hood...I think they pulled it off nicely!

The interior is grey. My wife and one of my friends suggested cream Since my yellow flames are starting to get a little ratty, I was thinking that cream accents/flames/pin stripes could bring it all together.
The thing with black is that having a darker color on the roof may make the car look top heavy.
