Last week I had the 8000 k hid kit installed. I also have taken my headlights apart and did the entire inside in a flat black heat paint. Everything is in flat black except the part where the bulb shines out of. I did not change the lens. They run on 35 watts which is less than the factory bulbs. The brand is Xentech and they are made in the USA. They are not melting the headlights.

My friend John Sharp owns www.sharphid.com
Apexcone 35w n DDM 55w kits, 3,000k up to 30,000k for show.
his are lifetime warranty and only 99$ , free shippin to US
give his site a look, me and my friends have ordered
several sets of hids from him, never had one issue
they are slim ballast and VERY easy to install
if you want some very good light thats BRIGHT, i suggest 5000k
i always get the 5000k, the 3000k are good for yellow fogs
and 6k is slight blue, 8k is blue ricer look, 10-12 is purple,
and then it gets into redish, pink the higher you go

I bought EuroSport Blues on E-Bay. $12 for the pair. They look sweet and at $12 I figure it's a really cheap mod. I've had them for 3 months and have had no problems, and I use the lights everyday for at least 30 minutes.

I'm going to get some fog lamps too one of these days.
