Has anyone taken a headlight apart to see if the orange reflector can be removed? Looking at it from the outside appears as though it may be just an extra amber piece in the headlight assembly, and it looks like you might be able to get it out. Just wondering if anyone has tried?

 

I brought it up before and posted a how to from a Mustang board I used to hang out on but I haven't got the chance to look and see if it can be applied to an HHR. I think it's possible but just haven't got a chance to go from theory to reality.

 

That's kind of why I was thinking about it too. My truck and my HHR were backed in the garage tonight, and looking at them from the front I realized how much cleaner the truck was with the clear corners, which I did myself. I'd really like to do it to the HHR too.

 

BTW: Is there an online Chevy site to order and price parts and are discounted? If they're not too expensive I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Are clear corners approved by the DOT? I've seen people around with them on other cars in nyc. But I'm not sure if they get tickets.
