It looks amazing! You know, I bought one of those, and it didn't fit the contour of the car, no matter where I slid it around. Hubby filled it with bondo to fit the contour, and painted the bondo Daytona Blue, but it still didn't look right. What's your secret?

Oh, and anyone who wants to dig the bondo out is welcome to it - just pay the shipping.

Cheri,

If you do have the same hood ornament (1948, 49 and 50 Chevy "Bullet" truck hood ornament), it DOES fit the hood, you just have to place it correctly. The person who put it on for me measured it and found the exact place to put it. I can take a close up pic if you want. Just let me know.

Well, (foot in mouth) heck! I went back and looked at the photos, and lo and behold, it's not the same hood ornament. If you can see it, this one has a large open space filled with blue bondo in the middle, but back toward the windshield. I am wondering now if I could sand the heck out of it and straighten that curve.

Thanks for coming back to me...Cheri

I used one off a 38 Pontiac....Fits well Used cut thin piece of rubber between the metals to seal water from seeping into the holes and possibly rusting.
