I am just curious, but I am wondering why no one has gone custom with horizontal tail lights? By this I mean four or six lamps across like a StingRay or a early to mid '60's Impala. It would involve sheetmetal work to remove one of the vertical pair on each side, and then adding a pair or pairs on the liftgate. It is not up my alley, but horizontal round tail lights scream "Chevy" to me. Just a thought. God Bless, Marc

YA I am digging that looks good. Lots of work but looks really nice.And then with some duel exhaust

 

I saw an hhr in town that had removed the lower light from each side. Then the rear marker lights in the bumber where white instead of red. (assuming these where the backup lights) It actually looked really good and was different

 

Here's a good one to photochop...already has 1964 Impala taillights on it...

 

i dunno about that look, i think a set of caddy taillights would look pretty nice, with a 3rd brake overlay to pull it all together, if someone would photoshop that sometime

 

I like the horizontal look but think the row should be taken from the lower lite.
