Hubcaps

I have the stock 16" wheels with the bolt on hubcaps. I would like to replace them with the old Moon Eyes racing discs (back in the 60's we called them full moons). But, they say I have to bolt them on. What do I bolt them to? Do I have to drill the wheel or what????? I'm totally lost here. Moon Eyes doesn't give me an answer. Has anyone tried them?

By the way...........Love this car.

Yup, you have to drill your steel wheel and screw the disks into it.

Hold on, Howdy, I thought the guy from Kentucky in the other forum said his were held on by clips?
Look here:http://www.mooneyesusa.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=390
The chart only goes to 15", but I've heard of a couple of guys who put them on HHR's (?).

Alle5266 said his are bolted in. The HHRs rims are meant to hold bolt on covers, not the pop in kind. There is no where for the clips to snap and they are 16" not 15". If you read back through his posts you'll find that he says they are bolt on and he had to drill his wheels. And he is the only guy I have heard of that has actually put them on so far, everyone else just said that they want to put them on.

Captain, do you think these would snap on, or are you saying that NOTHING will snap on to these wheels.

I'm not 100% sure. I don't believe there is a ring to hold them in on the steel wheels. There is only one HHR owner that I know of with them so far and he used the screw in ones. :)
