I think my rims are good now

Most on here know about the clearcoat peeling off the lips of my 20s.

well, after doing alot of reading i think i found the fix.

i stripped the lips with aircraft remover and polished them to a NICE shine.

here are some before and after pics.

Before:
cleaned and wiped with Maguires Wheel Detail.

After:
Stripped and buffed.

what would a good rims care product be?

i was thinking about the Mothers Powerball and either the Meguires Hot rims polish or WheelWax.

I really like those wheels. Is the center section still cleared?

I have always used Mother's mag wheel polish followed by a coat of wax.

I always though mag polish was for magnesium wheels with no clearcoat. Not sure what kind of wheels you have though.

if you look at the lips before they are foggy looking.
the new lips are chrome-like.

There are very few magnesium wheels on the street. They were made for racing applications before the '70's. Mag polish is for any alloy wheel.

Rims rims rims. Hey, I have a hole burnt through my pocket

I need some advice on a rim that will fit my SS. I would like to get something that will be different, but not flashy. Although all the rage right now, I do like the black painted, chrome lip (small lip) with red stripe. It would match my Black, red interior SS WELLLL! But what are quality manufacturers, what will fit 5X110, and are the 19-20 inch rims really really rough. I dont mind the 18's roughness over the crappy ohio roads, but i've never even ridden in a car with such large rims and low profile tires. Help please.

BTW I cannot deal with tire rub, or super heavy rims. I would not disrespect my HHR that way.
