BILLET lower vents

BlacknighT: Thanks, for your idea on the BILLET lower vents, I just made mine and installed them today. I used 5 inch abs plastic drain plug modified and 1/8 inch chrome tape and silconed it to the factory unit.

You can see the picture in my photo album by clicking the camera below my site name MAC C21, haven't fiqure out how to link a picture with a message yet.

Are you GOLFHHR on the HHR Family Forum? I just voted for you on the HHR of the Month for November.

Thanks for the thanks! Looks good in your pics. I used stainless steel screws so I can change out the caps to make cheap multiple mods. I almost have my chrome skull (matches rest of my HHR "theme") and billet ones finished-should make Ogre jealous

I used the metal covers because there was a lip on the outer edge that matched the curve of the OEM vent. Any 5 inch flat disk will do. There is a plastic 5 inch disk that is curved like a cover would be but it is about a 1/4 inch thick and would need to be cut on the top to conform with the bumper opening.

Here's the pic I promised (been raining here). I call this the "po boy LS vent cap mod"

Blackknight, are you going to be matching your upper and lower grilles? or keeping them the way they are now?

Don't know at the moment. Some of the upper billet grills look ok-some don't. To each his/her own. Why do you ask?
