interior mods

Just getting to order my HHR and have some questions I know you guys can answer. First I'm a auto upholsterer by trade, and one of my leather suppliers will custom make covers. Maybe two tone gray with Silver HHR , at least something to jazz up interior. Now to one of my questions the dealer doesn't seem to be able to answer. Has anyone sat in the cloth seats and the leather option both? I was told the leather seat foam is much firmer, I also can install seat heaters, but don't won't to replace foam. Also can't justify tearing out new leather covers and replacing. Maybe could insert with contrasting leather. Long post for first one. Thanks Patrick

Hey and welcome. I've sat in both and I didn't notice too much of a difference. I went with cloth b/c I am wanting to replace with two tone leather kind of like what you are talking about and I didn't want to really pay 800 bucks just to keep the seat warmers.

The cloth and leather seats are the exact same in terms of shape and thickness. The only difference is the surface. The only real advantage to the leather seats is the heaters, otherwise the HHRs leather is bland.

i sat in and drove both, and I thought the leather was much more comfortable than the cloth seats. I got the leather.

When I got my car they did not have leather for an automatic. So I cloth. I'm happy with it. But I would love to add two-tone leather seats.

Two tone from Katzkin out of California.
HIGHLY recommended. (Also a good time to upgrade to heated elements).

They do a good job. But I do not think they have anything for the HHR yet. PS what kind of a car is that?

Leather cover has no major deficiencies. I do not take into account moist ass.
Give preference to perforated leather with a velvety effect. Girls in miniskirts will thank you.
